Многих специалистов, недавно перешедших на монтаж промо-роликов, подводит привычка делать «резиновый хронометраж».

Хронометраж в сценарии никогда не совпадает с итоговым. Всегда есть «усушка и утруска», а иногда, наоборот, «натягивание». Однако, если, например, в документальном кино расхождение может быть пять-шесть минут, а в чистовом монтаже допускается люфт в 30 секунд, то в промоушне весь ролик занимает 30 секунд и при этом нельзя оставлять в плюс-минус ни кадра.

Новичков это сильно сбивает, поэтому при монтаже роликов я советовал бы сразу выставлять какую-либо метку на конец ролика (скажем, это может быть конечная графика – «пэкшот») и вписывать весь монтаж в нужный хронометраж. Это сэкономит много времени.
